This workshop objective discussed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and reasonable accommodations in the workplace. Specifically, Ms. Maldonado-Prather will cover accommodations at the application and hiring processes, the importance of essential functions of the job and how the work environment may be modified to allow a d/Deaf individual to perform and receive equal opportunities in their place of employment, free from hostility. After the workshop, participants discussed, define, and identify audism.
