EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Reflecting ICBDA’s mission in empowering Deaf and hearing communities, ICBDA offers a variety of community-based education and training opportunities throughout the year. Educational sessions include, but not only limited to:

  • Online town hall panel discussions
  • Workshops
  • Presentations
  • Conferences

Examples of past learning topics included Heart Disease & Stroke, Black/Brown Deaf Hoosiers’ Experience with Racism, Kwanzaa, Deaf Community: How To Dismantle Racism, and State of the Deaf Union: Race, Oppression, and Accountability.

The goal of those training sessions is to expand awareness about issues and challenges faced by BIPOC people.
