INTERPRETERS OF COLOR PROGRAM

Image of Black and BIPOC professionals

The Interpreters of Color Program (IOCP) supports the development, nurturing, and mentoring of American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters who are BIPOC across Indiana. ICBDA’s aim is to elevate the training and mentorship opportunities of BIPOC interpreters as a community organization. This is achieved through community linkages to area resources and connections to organizational partners that offer opportunities for BIPOC interpreters to enhance the development of their interpretation skillset. Qualified and certified professional BIPOC interpreters address the cultural and linguistic diversity needs of the Black Deaf community.
