Dr. Laurene Simms is a Deaf American educator and advocate. She is currently the Chief Bilingual Officer at Gallaudet University
Doctor of Philosophy, August, 2000, from The University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona with a major in Language, Reading and Culture and a minor in Teaching and Teacher Education.
Master of Education:  Deaf Education, August 1987, from Western Maryland College, Westminster, Maryland
Bachelor of Science, May, 1986 from University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska, with major in Elementary Education
